All I want for Christmas

Well, I have been trying to think of what I would like to get for Christmas for myself. Lets face it, the kids are too young to get me anything and my husband, well he has no idea what to get me either. If I don't get it myself, then I will probably end up with an iron or a vacuum cleaner lol. I am really leaning towards one of those new fan-dangled book reader. I think they are pretty cool. I love to read, but for the last 8 years have not done much of it other than school because my kids would loose my place or tear my pages. I think this is a great idea for me.

BMX travel

So, one of the things that we will get to do as a BMX family is travel. It will be a blast, but it could also get expensive too. We are looking at getting a motor home, But along with a motor home, comes motor home repairs. I think this will be okay though, we just have to really be selective about the home that we end up buying. I would also like to just go camping here in the area, maybe at the Beach too. Renting a camp site is a lot less expensive than a hotel room and you don't have to worry about who was sleeping in your sheets before you!

BMX

So apparently I am going to be a BMX mom as apposed to a Soccer Mom. I think I can live with that. We are just trying to get the best equipment at the best prices though which is taking a bit of time, but it is starting to pan out at least.

I have a friend

I have a friend that is looking into rapid detox centers for her husband. Apparently he is really having a hard time this time of year with his addictions. I am so glad that the worst thing I have to worry about with my husband is his smoking. Although, I would really love for him to quit that as well. It costs so much and it is doing so much damage to his body on top of it. But then again, I could be dealing with what she is dealing with instead.

Wish I had started earlier

I did not start shopping as early for Christmas presents this year as I have done in previous years. I do not like the feelings that I am having of anxiety, because I feel like I am not going to be able to find or afford what I want to get my kids for Christmas this year. I am going to make sure to save up some of my tax refund this next year and put it away in a Christmas account so that I do not have to go through this again next year, this feeling is evil.

Available jobs

It used to be that Bartender Jobs were just to get you through school. Now with the economy the way it is, it is a great job to have. My sister was a bartender for years while she was raising her daughter. It allowed her to be home with her during the hours that she was awake. With the economy the way it is, it is a great job to have as people still have to drink right? And they are probably drinking more since the economy is suck a wreck on top of it.

Went to a buffett tonight

Well,I went to a nice country style buffet tonight. We got there and realized that there were at least 4 bus loads of kids from The Florida Challenge Accademy about to go in to eat. That sucked. My husband got himself and the older two kids plates and when they got back to the table for me and my youngest to go get ours, it was totally packed and we had to wait for all of those kids to get their food. It was soooo loud that you could not hear yourself think. It sucked. But it was good food at least...Maybe next time it will be more relaxing of a time though.

I just got a coupon deal in my box. These days it is really hard to pass up any famous footwear coupons or many others for that matter with the economy the way it is. It is a great way to save some money on needed essentials like footwear for the entire family. I know that as soon as we get new shoes for everyone, it is time to get another pair for the first one that I bought for, it is a never ending cycle it seems.

Clothes

Well, I have realized that I need to seriously think about getting some new clothes. It is now cold weather, and well, I have no clothes for cold weather. I have grown out of my prepregnancy clothes and I have gotten rid of all of my maternity clothes. Not that I had many cool weather maternity clothes since we live in Florida and all. But wow, so now I have to get 2 jackets for my kids this week and figure something out for myself as well. Not so fun for this jean, tshirt and flip flop kinds of gal.

Oh thi s is too funny

Well, I was just cruising our local Craigs List, and I saw an ad for three costumes. It is for 2 adult costumes for mom and dad and a baby. The adult costumes are Chef's costumes and the baby costume....is a lobster! It is so funny you would not believe it lol. Too cute.

Oh body pillow how I miss thee

I don't know if it is the cold weather or if it is my weight, but my hips have really been bothering me. I had this problem when I was pregnant too. I had to go to my Dr. a couple of times because it was so bad. The only thing that I could find to relieve the pain was my trusty body pillow. I wish that I had not gotten rid of it after my last son. I never thought that I would be in need of it like I am, but I am! It is the nicest thing in the world to just cuddle up to a nice old body pillow. If you haven't tried one and are having hip pain, you might want to.

Kids and the dog

I am just waiting for the dog to wake the kids up. It never fails that about this time of night, our dog starts barking and does so until after midnight when my hubby gets home:/ My sons are all in bed tonight and NOT IN MY BED for once. I just know that he is going to wake them up and one by one they are going to be climbing into my bed.

Dang speaker

Well our car is now 6 years old. I think that my husband has finally blown one of the speakers in it. I can hear a ratling when I turn the radio up a little bit. I have no idea how he was able to do that by playing country music...I guess I will have to go out and get a new set of marine speakers because that rattling noise is really going to drive me insane to have to listen to daily. I can see blowing a speaker playing my music but come on...country?

So, my oldest son has started Cub Scouts. We are on the lookout of a uniform for him. Since everyone in the entire country has just signed up for scouting, the tops are sky high right now. I mean shirts that you would normally pick up for $5.00 to $8.00 are now $25.00 which is the cost of a brand new one. My son will only wear it once a week while school is in and on camp outs. This is crazy. I guess I will just buy a new one online not from eBay and pass it down to my other boys when the time comes...

Cell phones

You know cell phones are silly, they really are. I have no idea why someone in this day and age would buy one with a 2 year contract. I have one of those prepaid cell phones and I love it. It has unlimited minutes as well as texting and web for less than $50 a month and no contract either. I really just don't understand why someone would lock themselves into a contract especially one that is 2 years long like most of them are and have the thought that you might have to pay one of those hefty cancellation fees if you can't pay or want to switch companies.

3 year old....

I really wish that I could get my 3 year old to go to bed like everyone else. He likes to stay up till his daddy gets home which is after....midnight! That doesn't really leave much time to get anything done around the house either. And then of course hubby sleeps in since he works so late, so not help then either:/ I am so frustrated with him staying up so late.

Cats

I really miss having a cat. The reason that we don't know is allergies in the home, and well, my husband does not like them because of their fur and because "they pee everywhere". Our last cat used a litter pan very well but he was also neutered later than he should have been, he had already started to "spray". I explained to my hubby that we could get some cat urine odor remover if we decide to get a cat again and you would never even know that cat was around.

Well, it has been a while since I have posted. I have had a problem with my keyboard and not enough money to replace it. I finally did and now I have a working B, @, and !. You don't know how much you use those keys until you don't have them anymore. I got so tired of copy and paste to write anything that I just could not sit down to do any writing at all. But now I am back and really to rock:) BBBBBBBBB :)

Horses anyone?

When I was growing up, I had a pony and his name was Buckshot. I really miss that guy a lot. I wish that I could give my kids the same experience of growing up with a pony or horse that I had. I wish that I could teach them about all of the horse equipment and how to care for a horse like cleaning their hooves like my dad taught me. I guess that is just something that I have to give up living in town. I should really see if a friend with horses would let us come out and "help" her with her horses some time, it is such a great learning experience.

FaceBook Changes

Wow, most of my Facebook friends are really freaking out about the changes that went down today with how Facebook looks/works. I don't really like it either, but I am not that upset about it. I am not on it enough to really care, and I don't really play the Zynga games like some I know do. Some of my friends are upset about the games too, how there are too many things to collect to do things now, that is how I felt when I started playing Farm ville, I played it till they came out with 2 farms, and then forget that lol

The kids and water

Well most of our house is now rug free. We did not plan it to be this way, it sort of just happened like that. Our kids love to get in the bathroom and either put things down the sink and leave it running, or put things like an entire roll of toilet paper in the toilet and then flush it. So after so many times of our house flooding, we pulled up most of the carpet. Now I wish that we had called carpet cleaning raleigh nc instead. I hate the bare floors.

One thing I want

We live in the city, so our water is er...yucky. I can't wait till I start getting some hours and we can get our A/C fixed, a new bed and maybe a nice water softener so that when I take a shower, I actually feel clean. We don't even drink the water that we end up having to pay approx $65 a month for the pleasure of using. The only upside to paying that, is that we don't have to worry about costly repairs of a well or pump, which can really be outrageous.

Slow

So, I have signed up to work for a nursing agency. Apparently the facility that I will be working at the majority of the time has been very slow at approving my back ground check which translates into me not being put on the next schedule that comes out, which translates into me being PRN until September which really sucks since school is starting back end of August, my anniversary and hubby's birthday are end of August and my middle son's birthday is in a few days:/ I had figured that I would have been working for a few weeks and wouldn't have to worry about where to pull money from to try to get money for these extra things let along help pay the bills. It so is upsetting after all of that schooling and then it feels like someone else has complete control over your life.

Can't believe that I am almost 35

Wow time sure flies by when you are busy and raising kids lol. I can't believe that I will be turning the big 35 in December. This is a magical number for women. This is the age where if you have baby, you are at increased risk for birth defects and they also consider you "advanced maternal age". This is the age that I had set for myself to be totally done having kids. Though I have more than my share of kids and I feel that I am done having them, it does make me a bit sad to realize that even if I wanted to have more, that would be the deal. I really hope that my husband remembers to send a romantic birthday gift for wife.

5th birthday coming up

Well, as usual, money is tight this time around for my middle son's birthday. I think we are going to go to the Museum (for free) and he has a $3 card for Toys R US, I should also have about $35 to send him to the dollar store with. We already ordered and paid for a really nice cake from Publix so he will have that. I also need to get him a balloon or two. I think he will have a nice birthday even though we don't have much money this time around.

Gadgets

My husband and all three of my boys are now into little hand held gadgets of every kind. All the way from Nintendo games to the ipod touch 8 gb. Even my 3 year old is into them. I guess it makes him feel like he is a big boy like his daddy or his big brothers. Maybe that is what I need to get them all for Christmas this year?

School starts soon

Well, it seems that Summer just started, but by the end of next month, it will be over. I am sad and happy at the same time. I will have a Kindergartener and a second grader. I can't believe how time flies. I am starting to see some ads now for back to school fashion and supplies. That is the part that I am not really excited about. I am hoping that I get some money in time to beat the last week before school rush.

Next year

This past year, I did not get to create a garden like I have in the past. I have really, really missed it. Next year though, is going to be way different. Next year, I am going to make sure that I get the area prepped and bug sprayed very early so that I don't have to worry about that when it is time to plant my yummy garden. Maybe my hubby will get me a gardening gift for our anniversary too:)

Kids and sleep

I have not been able to get my kids on a good sleep schedule which translates to me not being able to sleep well either. I even went in for a sleep study, which I have yet to get the results from since I do not have the money to go in for my followup at this time. I know that during that sleep study, I kept waking up and had a difficult time getting back to sleep. Just imagine though, you are sleeping in a strange room, in a strange bed, with wires attached to your head and tubes up your nose, and a video camera watching your every move. Yeah great sleep.

Disability

My allergies and sleep problems have really had me thinking lately if I need to try to apply for social security disability. I have been so miserable lately when there is smoke in the air (which of course just started up yet again..) My eyes get all watery and my nose gets where I would just like to scratch the whole thing off it itches so bad, and then not been able to get out of bed or smell/taste things has really been bad too.

Anniversary coming up

My hubby's birthday is coming up in August. One of the things that I have been thinking of getting him is the eotech 552 which is compatible with his site on one of his new rifles. He is really a Gun Nut, and how better could we celebrate our 11 year wedding anniversary than getting him a gun accessory? I am sure he would really love it.

The summer...

The summer really has my kid's schedules all turned around now. I can't get anything done because they are up from the break of dawn until midnight and even later. I can't really blame them though, because we don't have AC and they are having some problems sleeping. That will def be one of the things that gets replaced first.

The way things are now

Well, my hubby and I have been together for almost 11 years now. We were one of the first couples to meet online and get married. There weren't all of the free online dating sites that there are now. Now if you meet someone online, it's nothing. Back when we met, we got some pretty weird stairs and everyone asking questions etc. They could not believe that we met that way. I do have to say that it is def better than meeting at a bar or something that is for sure.

My NCLEX

Well, this Wednesday is the day. I sure hope that I pass and can start raking in the big bucks so that we can pay our house off and buy a second vehicle. I can't wait!

Can't Wait!

So, I have graduated, I have taken my IV certification course and now I am just waiting to take the NCLEX (Nursing Boards). I can't wait, because once I find out I pass, I am going to go and buy some nice scrubs made by Cherokee uniforms. They are so cute! There are so many cute designs now that I can't believe it. They have actually made scrubs that look appealing now not just something that looks like it was made out of a kids flat sheet or something. I so can't wait to go scrub shopping.

I love Netflix!

I so love Netflix! Before, we were paying an arm and a leg for our cable. We only had it in one room. We never could find things that we wanted to watch when we had the time to watch it and if we wanted to record it, well then we would have to pay more for a TIVO machine. Well my hubby signed us up for the one of the cheapest Netflix accounts and wow, I have been so impressed. We have had them close to a year now and we have it hooked to 2 rooms (the grown ups and the kids room) and we always find things that we want to watch. Right now, my 3 boys are watching something about bugs. So they are learning and they are out of mom's hair. All for about $10 a month!

Still waiting

Well, I sent all of my info in to the DOH and another agency and now I am just waiting to hear back from them so that I can take my NCLEX. I so can't wait to take it. There are so many things that I want to buy when I get a job. I want to get an A/C, pay off our second mortgage, buy a second car and even one of those steel buildings so that we can get uncluttered around here. Our 3 bedroom house is starting to get smaller now that we have 3 growing boys.

Well it almost rained...

Well, there was a 40% chance of rain today. The thunder rolled in and the air changed, but it didn't actually rain. I was really looking forward to it though, because we really need it because of how dry it has been lately. There are forest fires all around us and it is making it hard for me to breath lately. Hopefully, it will rain tomorrow!

Wow just wow

Well I have a friend and she gets SSDI for her disability. She has really been having some problems lately though, because she has come under review and they are trying to take her benefits away from her. They think that just because she works from home, that she is not disabled anymore, which sure is not the case. I think that they are starting to purge people from their system more and more lately.

Got the pool going!

Well, we finally got our pool going again. It really helps the kids cool off a bit. As everyone already knows, we do not have AC and will not have it again until I get a job as a nurse and buy a new unit. But the pool is really helping a lot. The kids are going to be out of school starting Friday, and it will give them something to do too without being stuck in the house all day:)

Boy is it hot today!

And of course the only pants that I have in my wardrobe are either jeans or scrub pants! I am going to go with the family swimming in the days coming up, so I will need some shorts. I don't really like regular swimming suits, because well, Sir Mix a Lot wrote a song about me! They never fit right, so shorts are the best thing for me. I can't wait to get some nice shorts so I won't be sitting here baking in the Florida heat as much, this heat this year has been awful!

Some things I would like to try

I have some old gold jewelry that I have not worn in years. I have heard that you can Sell Gold and make a pretty good profit. I know that gold prices are through the roof these days with the economy tanking and all. So you never know, might end up making more than was originally paid for an item. I haven't really looked into it closely yet though, since I have not had the time to. But since I am out of school, this would probably be an excellent time to do so.

First paycheck!

Well, I just got my first paycheck from Keyforcash.com a couple of days ago. It wasn't a whole lot, but it was $26.00 more than I had before I got it. I am now going to have more time to devote to it though, since I won't just be able to key at night. I am so excited about having more time to devote to making money!

Secure

So, when we are actually in a position to earn good money and buy really nice things, I think we might start thinking about getting a home automation system. We could have a security system and be able to turn it on from anywhere. I am so bad with remembering things, especially when I am trying to get out the door with 3 kids. I usually end up leaving without something important like my phone or extra diapers for my 2 year old. So I might have an issue remembering to arm a system before I left. Thank goodness for systems that you can arm later. What a concept!

No more financial aid for me!

Well, since I am out of school now, I won't be getting anymore financial aid. That is sort of a bummer because it was nice to get a big check for going to school. But at the same time, I know that we spent more than I was getting when you factor in the gas and where and tear on the car as well as not being able to work because I was spending all of my time in school.
Back to trying to make some money to pay the bills:)

Want to travel

One thing that I really want to do, when I start making my nurse salary is go traveling with my family. I want to buy and old RV and just go some places that we have never been before. One thing that we will really have to think about investing in though, is good rv insurance, after all, our kids will be in there and the thing will be big and on the road, so there is always a potential that something could go wrong and there could be an accident. I am a firm believer in insurance as long as it can be gotten at a reasonable price, and I am sure there is reasonable RV insurance out there.

If you drink soda

You can really save a lot of money by buying larger bottles like 2 liters instead of the 20oz bottles. You get a lot more, and a lot of times the larger bottles are cheaper too. I can pretty regularly find them for $1.00 on sale and the little bottles range anywhere from $1.49 to 1.69 at the mini mart. But then again, it is best to try to cut them out all together. I am not there yet, but at least I am saving money when I do buy them.

A friend of mine

A friend of mine got one of those online business degrees a while back. She is now working for a major department store and making pretty good money now. I would love it if my husband would go back to school and do the same thing. He makes good money right now, but he is not happy with his job. It is a dangerous job and they are trying to take a lot of the benefits away from the employees right now which is really messing with his moral right now. I would love for him to work in an office and not have to deal with all of that.

That time of year again

Well, it is that time of year again at our house. It is time to renew our auto insurance again. I have been with the same company for over 12 years, but I a not sure if it is the best and cheapest one out there or not. I heard about a site called cheapestautoinsurance.net and I am thinking about checking them out to see if we could save any money or not on our insurance. Right now I am trying to get all of our bills down to the lowest possible so that we can begin to pay off our second mortgage.

Yummy food!

My hubby is outside right now grilling up some yummy country style ribs. I can not wait to eat them! Yesterday he bought the 10# bag of chicken hind quarters and we grilled them and they were pretty darn good too. It just goes to show that you really do not have to buy the most expensive part of the meats to get a good meal.

Public restrooms

I have been thinking about the evolution of bathroom sanitation lately. As a nursing student, I learned how to wash hands and try to keep them clean etc. It made me think back to when I was a kid. I remember going into some restrooms in places like gas stations and there would actually be a machine that held a round cloth that you would use to dry your hands (or not yuck!). And then it went to the paper towels in the machines, that you either grab too many or not enough and have to fight the machines for what you get, to the new things that I love so much, the hand dryers. My kids really enjoy them too and as long as you hit them with the back of your hand, it is very sanitary I think.

I graduated!

Well, I finally graduated from nursing school! Now I will have more time to write, since I won't be going to school from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm everyday and then having homework. I am so looking forward to the extra income and the time with my children. I am so excited! I still have to take my NCLEX and an IV course, but those I think will be simple and it will be a bit before I find out when I will be able to take my NCLEX and the IV course doesn't start till the middle of June. So I still have some time to chill and make some money and enjoy my summer.

Can't wait to loose weight!

I am so super excited about the fact that I will be loosing weight soon. I have really let myself go this past 12 months and it has really taken it's tole physically and mentally as well. I am going to run, get a wii to do the Zoomba with and maybe even take some diet pills like adapexin-p to help me along. I knew that this was going to be hopeless while I was still in school as everyone including myself have been eating fast food for the convenience and the comfort as well. I can't wait to start eating home make foods again and even nice salads. I have found out that my kids LOVE the sweet baby carrots that you can buy really cheap in bags in the produce department. They don't even want to use the salad dressing that I gave them for it. Now is the time to get them eating right too!

Shorts!

Well, I think that all of my boys have outgrown their shorts from last year. I think that they might have a pair each that they can use right now. I guess it is about time to go to the used clothing store and see what I can find. I might even check out eBay, as I have really found great deals there in the past as well.

Come on April 30th!

I graduate April 29th, so on April 30th, I am going to start trying to get back into shape and loose some much needed weight. I am going to start running every morning and who knows, I might even take some fenphedrine to help with getting all of this weight off. I have really lost my body this last year that I have been in school. We have all been eating fast and heavy comfort foods to get through all of this, now will be the time to start feeling better about life and myself in general. I can not wait!

Nice weather

The weather here is so nice right now. I really wish that it would stay just as it is. We do not have an A/C so I am really enjoying the cool mornings right now. I know that later in the summer, we will be waking up to hat mornings as well. Oh well, soon I will be able to afford a brand new energy efficient A/C to cool our house off all summer:)

I want a boat!

I really want a boat really bad! We live about 2 blocks from the lake, so during the summer, we can hear the boats cruising around. I also want to teach my boys how to fish. Both of those things were a really big part of my childhood and I would really like it to be for them too. We just have not had the money nor the time for it yet. I really hope that it will be changing soon when I am out of school. I just hope that we can avoid having any Maritime injury while we are out having fun though.

Amazon Mechanical Turk

Well, a couple of nights ago, I decided to try out Amazon Mechanical Turk again. I did three tasks and had one approved right away, there are 2 still waiting to be approved...I think I am going to dabble in this to get my youngest son a few things for his birthday which is at the end of May. We have Amazon Prime so we don't have to worry about the shipping cost, so we should be able to get quite a few free birthday gifts for him this way:)

Father's Day

Well, my hubby as started using his e-cig more which I am really greatful for. But I think for Father's Day, I will try to buy him a few Davidoff cigars as a nice treat for him. There was a point where he was buying nice cigars to smoke so I know for a fact that he will love them. Sometimes I think you just have to spurge a bit for the ones that you love. I think that he will have a great Father's day this year. I can not wait for it!

Bad skin

My whole family has been plagued by bad skin for generations. The older generations have really bad acne scars on their faces. I also have a cousin and a brother that this has also really affected as well. They really should take some good acne pills though. It may help them save their skin and life long scars that the rest of our family has. I has been especially bad with the boys in our family, but my two aunts also had really bad acne as teens and do have really deep scars in their faces because of it. It is too bad they didn't so something before they had such bad scars.

Boys!

Living in a house with 4 males (hubby and 3 sons), we sure have our share of Hats and Caps. We have from Comic book character hats to sport team hats. We also have hats for when it is cold out since all of my guys get their hair buzzed down with clippers. My hubby will not leave the house without a cap on. This was all new to me when I married my hubby, because my dad never wore hats (well the occasional cowboy hat when we went riding but that is it). But I think it is a great way for the 4 guys to bond and sort of look alike. They also have been able to start a nice collection at the same time.

If you use Zyrtec, you have to check out the off brand version at Dollar General. It was only $8.50 for 30 of them! And they work great. I did seem to get pretty tired after taking them though, but my mouth did not get as dried out as it does with the name brand. An old friend got married

And she posted some of the pictures from her wedding on Facebook. She had a very pretty dress on I think, but I actually think that the bridesmaid dresses were even prettier personally. They were the prettiest color of blue and had spaghetti straps on them. I think they were perfect for a simple spring wedding. I can't wait until my husband and I can actually have a real wedding. We have been married for 10.5 years now and I think it is about time. Don't you?

It really amazes me sometimes...

That my kids can have more fun with a broken piece off of a set of blinds than a $50 toy. Right now they are running around with one of the things that you turn to adjust a set of blinds and playing like it is a gun. What will they think of next?

Jobs

Now that I am almost done with schoo, (yeah for April 29th!), I have been starting to look around for a job. I have noticed that there are many customer service jobs listed. I am really hoping that this is the start to the job market starting to look better again. One of the big reasons that I went to school in the first place, is because there were no job listings for "regular" jobs, just medical, so that is what I chose to do when I went back to school was nursing. Well, at least I know there are other things out there in case it takes a while to get hired as a newly graduated nurse.

Coupon rules may be changing

So at our local grocery store (Publix), there have been rumblings that they may be changing some of their coupon policies. One in particular is being able to use competitor coupons in conjunction with manufacturer coupons. This could put a damper in some coupon users day, I for one do not usually find many good competitor coupons, except for the $x/xx coupons which can really be great. I guess we will just have to wait and see on this one.

Very important

Well, I tried to get some calling around done today that I can't usually get done while I am in school. Of the few places that I called, two of them didn't have a very good small business phone systemt and ended up losing my business altogether. There is not much more that I hate than calling around and totally wasting time not being able to get a hold of someone that you want to do business with and actually give money to. Well, they should have had a better system in place because they lost out today and I am sure that I am not the only one that has moved on to bigger and better things i.e. people that actually answer their phones.

Kids...

Yes I knew it. Three days straight rain and the kids have not gotten to go outside to play. They are driving me crazy and tearing things up including pulling the bolts out of their bed. I guess it is a good thing that my husband took the bunk bed down before they stated taking it apart eh?

Wow am I out of the loop

I was just sitting here thinking about a couple of weeks ago. I went for a ride to lunch with a girl from class and she has a newer car (ours is 6 years old now). Well low and behold, her radio on her car has ipod docks! That was a big shock to me as our car when we bought it new has one of the new Satellite Radios in it with the Oh so cute square rubber antenna thing on the back of our car. Wow how things have changed in such a short time!

twin mattresses

So, I juts through out a twin mattress thinking that maybe it was the cause of some of my son's asthma/allergy problems. Well I am calling around and cannot find a good clean used one. One guy even told me that when they finally get them at his warehouse, he usually has to through them out they are so nasty:/ So if I don't have a couple of hundred dollars to spare, I guess I am SOL for now:/ I can't believe these things go for so much money new. I have already placed an add on CL and on FreeCycle trying to find a free or cheap CLEAN one:/ Back to my struggle.

Love to get into shape

I have been trying to figure out what to do to get back into shape. Now I say back into shape, but I really mean just into shape. I have been thin in my life, but not actually "in shape". I want to work out, I want to do oil pulls or my teeth and the rest of my body and I may even try some creatine to help build muscle. I also need to start eating better and I need to make sure that my kids eat better too. I already do not ever add any salt to their food so that they do not get into the habit of lots of salt like my hubby.

Rain!

Rain, Rain go away, help keep me sane today:) My kids did not get to go outside to play yesterday or today. I am sure they are going to be a real pleasant bunch by the time they get home today and there is a Tornado Watch for our area, so we can't really drive anywhere for them to play inside. Please pray for my sanity! lol

Don't skimp

In this day and age of the ever shrinking pocketbook, it is easy to just try to skimp on the things that you think you will never need. My hubby and I talked about him canceling his disability insurance. But we decided that would not be a wise decision with the kind of job that he has and since we all depend just on his income to pay for food and a roof over our heads. As we look at his pay stubs and see that money being taken out for his insurance, I kind of have a different outlook on it now. Before I felt like it was a waste of money, but now I see that it is not just insurance but assurance that if something were to happen to him, we would get that money back and way more.

About that time again

Well, it is about that time again. What time is that you say? About time to order some new glasses from Zinni optical. I ordered 2 pairs before and loved them. One pair was a regular pair and the other was a pair of prescription sun glasses. Do you realize how much that would be in the store? For me, it cost about $25 including tax. I was so amazed. Just wish that our puppy hadn't eaten my regular pair...But yeah now it is time to order a new pair so that I can see again!

Fun, fun!

With the economy the way it has been for the past couple of years and now the cost of gas going up yet again, we have been trying to find things to either do at home or closer to home. One thing that we would like to do is camp out in our back yard. I would like to get a nice fire pit for the boys and they can roast march mallows and make some yummy smores and we can get a cheap little tent too so they can "camp out" back there. Then we don't have to waste gas or time getting there.

Picture day!

So today is picture day at school. Last year we got a big package for my older son and they came out terrible. I don't think that the teacher even combed his hair out of his face:/ So this year now that we have 2 kids in school and one in daycare that is getting pictures taken tomorrow and will need them paid in 2 weeks. We are getting the smallest picture package and class photo for the older 2 boys and then we will have to pick out the best photos of the baby from the daycare photos. I have always found that having coupons in hand and going to either Sears, JCPennys or The Picture People is always a better deal on pictures, so we are saving our money for that instead.

Almost done with school!

Well, I am now down to 4 weeks of class left in my nursing program. I have this week of clinicals and then next week we have off for Spring Break and then 3 more weeks after that. I really hope that I make it the first time around. I have one class that I may not pass and I will have to pick it back up in the Fall when the next class behind us is taking it. I am thinking positive thoughts, but also trying to plan for the worst just in case as well. Sometimes I think that I should have just gone to massage therapy school. I have 2 cousins, a sister and a friend that have done so and they are all doing well in it. Maybe I will do that once I am done with nursing. That would be a great asset to my patients I think.

Found a great place to eat for cheap with kids

I just wanted to post this in case others did not know this. At IHOP (International House of Pancakes), kids eat free off of the kids menu (12 and younger) with each paying adult. So we get 2 free kids meals which comes out to about $10 saved and the best part of the deal, is that our kids will actually eat the meal! So if you haven't tried them out before or it has been a long time, it would be a great place to go for a Friday evening meal. Also, it is more relaxed and so your kids (if they are like mine...) can make a little bit of noise and it is okay:)

Jacob sick yet again!

Well, last evening, I had to take my 4 year old to the Peds after hour clinic. He gets sick like the rest of us, but then doesn't get better and starts having problems breathing. I really think that I am going to end up having to buy one of those big air purifiers. Especially with all of the pollen in the air right now. I would probably end up saving money doing so because even with our really good health insurance, we ended up with a $75 bill just yesterday for the visit and the 2 prescriptions.

So have you heard that the next generation of I Pad has come out? Now you can get the old version cheaper. So if the newest gadget is not needed, why not save some hard earned dough and get the older version?

I think it was back in high school that I first heard about karaoke. I was living in the North West and it seems that we got things a few years earlier than we do here in the South. Back then in the Midwest, they even had grunge music and cappuccino. I remember when I moved back to Florida for my Senior year, nobody had even heard of those things yet. It is pretty funny how those trends move through the country like that.

Well, I don't. But from what I have heard, there are a lot of people that do. A lot of people are confused about where they can go to have this done. If you don't want to go to a company to have it done and pay a lot of money, this site may help. It is called TaxSlayer. You can enter a prior year that you need to file taxes for. The service is only $9.95 and you can do it for the last 3 years. So much less than going to have them done!

Finally moving my blogs!

Well, I am proud to say that I am finally in the process of moving all of my blogs off of blogger and into self hosting. I am so excited! I loved the ease of using blogger and it is a great site to start at, but I have been blogging for about 2.5 years now and now it is time to move on. I am thinking about a managed hosting service. Just because my blogs are a business. Yes they are for fun, but it is also a business as well. I guess we will see where I go from here. Right now, I am taking baby steps but it feels so good!

As I have mentioned numerous times in other posts, I am a college student at this time. Well, last week all students at my specific college gave all of the students email addresses with .edu in them. You don't know how excited that made me. Why did it excite me so you ask? Because that opened the door for me to be able to get free Amazon Prime! Now I can get free 2 day shipping or $3.99 for next day delivery! You can't go wrong with that. Wish I had had it though when I was having to buy all of my text books.
