Free Bowling this Summer!!!

One thing that I remember from when I was a kid was going Bowling. I remember learing how to play and what satisfaction I got when I actually got a strike (not very often). When I became a teenager, I actually got my own ball and my own shoes (because I played so often that it actually saved me money to have my own shoes, plus they were cute).

Now I am going to be able to take Ethan to go play too! I just found out about this really cool program that a lot of Bowling Allys are going to be doing this summer. It is a program that runs all summer and kids actually get to bowl for free. Adults can also get a deeply reduced bowling pass as well (for 4 adults ours is only $23.95). You still have to rent the shoes though but that is hardly anything. The only other catch is it is only until 5pm...But my husband has 2 days off during the week so that is not a problem for us. It is good for 2 free games every weekday. So look and see if there is a bowling center near you and sign at least your kids up (that is free and if you want sign yourself up too!)

The site is http://www.kidsbowlfree.com/all_centers.php

Have fun!!!!

Went shopping and noticed

You know, I went shopping for my son's 1st birthday presents yesterday and I noticed something. There were some really eye catching cardboard displays and I am not just talking about the DVD ones but I mean all of the other ones for toys, board games and more! Some of them were even cooler than the thing that they were advertising. Isn't that funny?

Drool can be cool!

So, I have a baby that is teething A LOT! But I really hate to keep his cute little clothes covered up in some old bib. But now I don't have to. I found a really cool concept by Hattie Rose Designs. They make baby bibs fashionable. Oh and for you moms of little boys, they have some really nice designs for you too not just girls (which I was really happy to see:)

Go check out the giveaway (for 2 bibs) that is going on over at the Parent Reviewers site the link is: http://parentreviewers.com/featured/hattie-rose-designs-giveaway/

Good luck!

Spring has sprung and got the itch to organize!

So, it is the middle of May. The weather is gorgeous out. It always makes me want to start Spring Cleaning and organizing my house. Especially now since we have so many people in our home with so many things. One thing that I am really wanting to get is a really nice Shoe Organizer . I think that I would love to put one right near the front door and also one in each bedroom.

Another thing that I think would really help with the clutter in our home is to get a Room Divider for our home office space. Right now, we just have two computers set up on a desk in our dining area. I think that this would be a safe way to store things and make them look really nice at the same time. There are so many to choose from. Also, they seem to be a safe alternative to an actual heavy shelf since we have small children.

There are so many choices, now I just need to narrow down to something that both my husband and I both like.

Saving money with news online

When I worked in a "real office", I used to love to get a good paper to read on my breaks and at lunch to spend the time. Now, I for one do not have as much time and two, I do not have the extra money to spend on a paper that I can read online. I do however watch some sites for what coupons will be in the weeks Sunday papers and if they are good ones, then I will of course buy one. But the coupons have to add up to more in savings then what I would spend on a paper.
Are you doing this as well? Or do you still get a "hard copy" of a news paper delivered?

Want to get the right one

I know that I want to loose weight but I know that I don't want to waste any money either. I want to make sure that I get the diet pills that work. I have seen so many infomercials that it sort of makes it hard to choose. I know that there are some good ones though right? I am sure that there is something out there just waiting for me to find it. I am not really over weight either. Just a few extra baby pounds after all, I have had 3 babies in the last just over 5 years.

Things at Dollar General

You know, I buy almost all of my dry goods and kids snacks at Dollar General. They are usually a lot less expensive and they also have off brands too (which are just as good as the name brands in my opinion). One thing that I started doing to prepare for this summer is looking for Coloring books and activity books. They usually have them for around $1.00. I also make sure to check out the clearance isle as well. I found a computer video game for my almost 3 year old that has Thomas and Basketball on it for less then $4.00 this week. So if you haven't already, you need to check them out.

Wild Imaginations

Every time that I go to pick my husband up at night from work I take my kids with me. One of the things that we pass on the way is a cell tower with a blinking light on the top. You would be amazed at all of the things that the kids think up with their wild imaginations about that tower. They usually like to talk about it being a space ship or something of the sorts. If only to be a kid again right?

Used appliances

This is my new stove:)

I have really been needing a stove...only one burner still worked on mine and of course it was a small one. This really made things fun when making dinner (especially since we are southern and have sweet iced tea with dinner). Making dinner and tea had grown into this about 2 hour ordeal for me. Well, I found a really nice couple of year old one on Craigs list. It had the digital timer, self cleaning and all. It had everything that I wanted except for the glass in the door to be able to watch the food cook. It was listed for $100 or best offer. I of course offered less than $100 ($50 to be exact and thinking that they would counter my offer at more then $50 but less then $100). To my great surprise, the lady emailed me back stating that I could have it for the $50 if I could pick it up the next night at 8pm. I was able to do that and I got it! The lady had just bought the house and turned everything over to natural gas. That was the only reason that she got rid of it. Nothing wrong with it at all:)
So, if you need a new or new to you appliance, definitely check out Craig's list in your area. There are some real ripoffs on there, but there are some really great deals as well. You just have to search. Also, if you live near a college town like I do, when the semesters end and the students graduate, make sure to keep an eye out for barely used furniture for really cheap too:)
Do you have any stories about appliances or furniture that you have gotten off of Craig's list? I would love to hear them.

Need a boost?

Being a mom, you can get run down really fast. From having almost no sleep at all due to the sleep patterns of your kids to having to chase after them and clean up after them daily it can really wear you out. I started looking for a safe product that would help me feel more rested and also give me more energy. I think that I might have found it. The product is called Stemulite. They have lots of really good reviews from moms to 3 time Superbowl Champs. People have actually lost weight using it as it gives you more energy so you are not too tired to work out. Now that is what I need.

Free summer movies!!!

I found out about this last summer but I had a new baby which made it almost impossible to go to a movie. I made it a mission to make sure to find out ASAP when they were going to start this summer. Most chain theaters are going to be doing free movies for kids this summer. Here are the links. We really only have a Regal Cinema in our area but that is good enough. Luckily, they have them on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (Tuesdays are my hubby's days off so it will work out great:) Make sure to go early!!!

Made me sort of think

I had to go in and get a new drivers license made because my sons dumped out my purse and I was never able to find my original one. I had to go pick up tickets for a show that we are going to see and I had to have it. To tell you the truth, I was scared to death to see how much I had changed in the about 4 years since I got my last license photo taken. I was actually pleasantly surprised. It is 2 kids later and I have actually lost weight! Even my husband was like "Wow"! It make me so glad to have read my share of good weight loss pill review lately.

Save money by watering your garden at the right times

One way to save money on your garden or even your lawn is to make sure that you water them at the right time of day. The best time to do it is early morning before the sun is beating down and making the water evaporate before it has time to soak in to the soil. You may want to purchase a timer to help with this if you are not an early riser or if you are too busy to remember to do it. Try not to water yoru garden between 10am and 4pm for best results.

More memory for your notebook?

Another think that my husband is looking to get me as a Mother's day present is some more notebook computer memory. With all of those new pictures that I am going to be taking of the boys I am sure that I am going to need it. I am so glad that he is so good with putting together electronic and computer type things. I am so totally oblivious to it all. But, I am watching and trying to learn what I can by watching him add things to my computer. I find it pretty fascinating.

Got a new camera!

I am so happy! My husband bought me my Mother's day present and gave it to me early. It is the Samsung S860 camera in pink. It is only 8.1 mega pixels but our last one was only 5 point something so this is a big step up for us. I know that there are some with 10 and 12 now but I think that is a little overkill and just a waste of money for us right now for what we want to do with it. We just want to take pictures of the kids and maybe post some pictures online. So, before you go out and waste money on a camera with 12 mega pixels, make sure that you really need it. I thought it was really sweet of him to get me a pink camera. I feel so not girly with all these boys around. This helps a bit though:)

Acne?

It used to be that you would have to go to a really expensive Dr appointment to have a face peal to help deal with your skin problems (aka acne). But now that is not the case. There are all sorts of things to choose from in your quest for the perfect acne scar treatment. And they do not all break the bank either. So if you are having problems with acne or the scars associated with it, now might be the time to look into a good treatment.

Really Cheap Deoderant

If you are looking to stock up on some really cheap deodorant but don't have coupons, this is the time to do it. At CVS right now they have a lot of brands that are either 50% or 75% off. I got one that was usually 5.99 for about 1.25. That's a lot of savings. There are men's and womens of different brands. I was too lazy to look through my coupons to see if any of them could be used as well, but if you are looking to stock up now might be the time:)
